Ford Explorer Suspension
« on: March 20, 2010, 04:34:33 PM »
I am getting ready to custom build the front end on my 96 Ford Explorer. It has 4 wheel drive and i am looking for a couple things i can't find. Does anyone know where i can find Custom Length Heat Treated 4340 Axle Shaft with serviceable 930 inner CV joints. If anyone knows where i can find these please help. Thanks

it really doesn't matter, both are good, but most will dispute it till the bitter end.  I'm a fox guy, but kings are less expensive

With money an issue.  I usually research which company uses the best materials, and offers the most rebuildable equipment, THEN try and find it used.   You'll get a better deal, and still end up with quality stuff.

thats a good route to go with items that can be reused, rebuilt, or dont wear much between owners, saves a lot of money.

some things you need to buy new though, knowing the difference will save a lot of time, money, and frustration.

if in doubt, chuck it out.
