A-arm options for a early 90's toyota pickup
« on: July 23, 2009, 04:21:24 PM »
I know there a ton of options for this truck. What's going to be my best bang for the bank upgrade path? I want a true long-travel a-arm front-end with like 18" of travel, what can I dO?

I've heard good things about TC but it seems like everyone has a "total chaos frontend" on their Yota nowadays.. was thinking something a bit cooler and more travel. I want it super beef and don't mind doing some work myself.

total chaos is a good way to go.  Nice parts and seem to work ok.

PS if you want to spend some serious cash i have a kit we are working on at the shop right now that is full race status.  No pictures till its done.  But i will give tours.

Let's see some pics when that beast is done! I'm guessing you're prototyping this on your Yota??

Those are usually the best kind ;)

Center-mount? Crazy improved suspension geometry? Super beefy?

Trophy yota basically.  Cut the frame rails off front and rear, center mounted a-arms, j-arms, saginaw power steering box, 1 1/2 inch uniballs all around, bypass, coilover all around, 300hp est 4.3 chevy, 3 link,  And yes very beefy.

Yep, exactly what I imagined.. sounds dope!! Similar to my old truggy's front-end (center mount a-arm with j-arms, 1 1/2 heims on top, uniball on bottom)

You gotta let us check out some pics of that beast soon! I'm dying to see it! That's basically exactly what I want to sell my Ranger and current Tacoma for, so I can build a nice center mount a-arm, linked, v8, extended cab toyota pickup.

Oh and hey, if I get some stickers cut soon, would you rep one on the ride when it's finished? :) Maybe we can even put together a feature article on the soon to be launched homepage?
